　　Homestayaccommodation(withfamilies)

　　Allourfamilieshavebeenselectedbyourhomestayproviderafterinspectionandchosenforthewarmthoftheirwelcomeratherthantheirproximitytotheschools.TheyaresituatedinresidentialareasofLondonfromwherethejourneytoschoolbypublictransportisstraightforward.TheyreflectthemulticulturalaspectofBritainingeneralandLondoninparticular.Althoughtheycancomefromanynumberofethnicbackgrounds,Englishisthemainlanguageinthehome.Pleasenotethattheterm‘families’mayrefertoparentswithchildren,singleparents,singlepeopleorcoupleswithoutchildren.

　　Juniorsareaccommodatedonafullboardbasis(breakfast,lunchandeveningmeal),withthemiddaymealprovidedatschoolonschooldaysandbythehomestayproviderattheweekend.Theremaybeupto3studentsstayingintheaccommodationatthesametime–butofdifferentmother-tonguesunlessthereisaspecificrequestotherwise(e.g.iffriendswishtobeaccommodatedtogether).Accommodationisalwayssingleroomunlesstwochildrenwhobookandtraveltogetherrequesttwinroomaccommodation.

　　SchoolMinibusService

　　AsLondonisalargecity,andourschoolsareinCentralLondon,weprovideaSKOLASchoolMinibusServicewhichpicksupstudentsfromtheirhomesinthemorning,andreturnsthemtotheirfrontdoorattheendoftheschoolday.Someofourfamiliesareinresidentialareassomedistancefromtheschools,sotravellingtimecanbeupto45-60minuteseachway.Thisserviceischargedextra.

　　Ifparentsdecidenottouseourbusservice,forchildren14-16totravelaloneonpublictransport,wemustreceivewrittenauthorityfromthem.Wedonotallowchildrenunder14totravelaloneonpublictransportevenwithwrittenauthorityfromparents.

　　ParentandChildAccommodation

　　Wecanprovidehomestayaccommodationforparentsandchildren,buttheparentisresponsibleforlookingafterthechildoutsideschoolhours.Theparentshouldeithertakethechildtoandfromschool,orbepresentinthehousewhenthechildleavesandreturnsontheminibus(ifbooked).Thetimetablesintheadultandjuniorschoolshavebeendesignedwiththisinmind.

　　ResidentialAccommodation

　　WehaveasmallLondonresidenceavailableallyearroundintheEastofLondonforstudentsattendingourHydeParkschool.Theroomscontain2-3bedsandthebathroomsareshared.Studentsaretakentoandfromschoolinaminibus.Accommodationisonafullboardbasis(breakfast,lunchandeveningmeal),withthemiddaymealprovidedatschoolonschooldaysandbythestaffintheresidenceattheweekend.
